Fleet, Integrations & Sites
Vendor integrations through the plugin bridge, the normalized device inventory, and mapping vendor networks to sites.
Every other Synapse feature reads from the fleet inventory.
Connecting vendors
Vendor platforms connect through the plugin bridge. Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, and Palo Alto are examples. You enter credentials once. Synapse encrypts them at rest and never shows them again.
Each integration syncs on a cadence you set. You can also sync on demand. Each sync run records its steps, so a partial or failed run shows which step broke.
The inventory
Every device carries the same fields whatever the vendor: serial, model, firmware, product type, and brand. A device the latest successful sync did not see is marked stale. Synapse keeps the record; it does not delete it. Use the stale filter to find devices that dropped out of syncs.
Sites and mapping
Sites are tenant-defined, with a region, a country, and any labels you choose. Policy scope, score rollups, and traffic views all resolve through sites.
Vendor platforms report networks, not sites. An operator confirms each network-to-site mapping in a review queue. When the queue is empty, every device resolves to a site.
