Manual — Network Operations Manual
Synapse manual.
Synapse covers multi-vendor network operations: normalized fleet inventory through the plugin bridge, tenant-defined standardization policies, vulnerability matching, composite health scoring, the on-site collector, traffic visibility, governed actions, and scheduled reporting.
Synapse is the Cadres network operations product. It gives teams one normalized view of a multi-vendor network estate, checks that estate against standards the tenant defines, scores its health honestly, and puts every change that touches a device behind explicit approval.
The public manual starts with the operating model and then goes deeper into detailed operator guides. Internal engineering reference, raw API detail, and platform setup procedures remain private.
- Start with Fleet, Integrations & Sites to connect vendors through the plugin bridge and build one trustworthy inventory.
- Move to Standards, Vulnerability & Health when compliance policy, exposure tracking, and health scoring become the priority.
- Use Actions, Traffic & Reporting when governed change, traffic visibility, and scheduled delivery are the main concern.
Portal
Portal provides governed identity, roles, and permissions for everyone working inside Synapse.
Beacon
An optional bridge raises Beacon tickets from Synapse events through a typed event ingress and reads ticket status back. Synapse stands alone without it.
Meridian
An optional bridge exports the Synapse audit trail as evidence for audit and control validation in Meridian. Synapse stands alone without it.
